Best horseback riding place we've ever gone to! True western experience; not nose to tail following like other places. We even added a romantic dinner in a cute cabin. Beautiful fall ride, could of not been a better day. Owner, Doug was very genuine and knowledgeable. We took a 2 hour long ride in all kinds of terrain, as we have prior experience riding. Horses are well cared for and responded well to our requests. The stable has a wild west feel to it, very quaint. I would recommend it. I plan on going back next month. Not your typical trail ride. If you are looking for an AUTHENTIC horseback ride Havens Hideout Ranch is the place to go! I have been riding here about once a week for a little over a year, I knew nothing about a horse except that they a beautiful, intelligent animals! I have learned a lot about horses from Doug and Ryan and have progressed my riding level to take on some of the more advanced trails they have, Yee Haw!! Yes, they have more than 25 trails to take you on, depending on your riding level. The trails are deep in the woods, some through creeks, some take you up hills and open up to the most spectacular views when you get to the top...bottom line is if you haven't been to Havens Hideout Ranch you're missing out on a truly amazing experience!! -D.S.
This past Sunday, my girlfriend and I were lucky enough to participate in the romantic ride and dinner offered at Havens Hideout Ranch. It was such a good time. Doug, our guide, took us on a beautiful, long, and scenic ride through the trails they have on the property. The trails were advanced enough to make me feel like I was actually an experienced horseback rider (it was my first time) but the horses were so smart and well trained that they basically did all of the work! The property is beautiful and we loved every minute of our ride. After the ride we had a romantic, intimate dinner in a little cabin at the end of the ride. It was decorated beautifully in a quiet, secluded space. It really was a tremendous time and would love to do it again sometime. -E.E.
I just want to say what a fabulous down to earth patriotic day 7/3/2022. Neither myself or my wife have ever ridden a horse but my wife has always expressed a love for horses. We set out this morning for this unique experience with these magnificent animals . We were so excited and i must admit a bit nervous, arrived early. Doug and Ryan had 3 horses saddled and selected for us. Concise training we then mounted and we were off!! Wow 140 acres thru woods and creek beds so uniquely AMERICAN with MAX their dog leading the way!! Whether you are an experienced rider or first time like us truly amazing!! Thank you so much for an amazing and uniquely american experience on this 4th of july wekend. We love you Doug, Autumn, Chase , and Ryan!! See you in August when we bring Kasey!! - J.O.
